Who is Crafted Tales?

Great question! We make personalised children's storybooks. You upload a photo of your child and we work our magic and turn it into a book where they are the main character of your story.

What personalisation does the book have?

The personalisation in the storybook refers to the name, and of course the main character.

We also offer a page where you can add a personal dedication message—perfect for birthdays, Christmas, or just because.

Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to any other elements of the story or character.

Can I send this book as a gift?

Unfortunately we don’t have a gift option at checkout but this is something that’s in the pipeline! Sign up to our newsletter to make sure you are in the loop when we do!

What cover options do you have?

We are currently only offering soft covers for our books. For hardcovers and eBooks, watch this space.

What photo should I use?

The books with the best outcome use photos with the child facing forward, with a clean face, hair out of the way and smiling. A tough challenge we know!

I’ve made a mistake on my order - help!

If you’ve made a mistake in your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Your order changes need to be submitted within 1 working day. If you contact us after 1 working day, you are liable for the additional costs.

Do I have to create an account?

No, you don’t have to create an account to purchase a Crafted Tale. However, we do need information about your child to make your storybook, as well as billing and delivery information.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept all standard Visa/Mastercard card types, as well as Apple and Google Pay.

Payments can also be made through PayPal.

I’ve placed an order but did not have a confirmation email.

Every order should automatically receive a confirmation email to the email address you provided during the checkout process. If you haven’t received a confirmation email, please use our contact form.

Sometimes, confirmation emails enter spam folders email accounts automatically. Please check your spam folder before contacting us.

How is my book packaged?

All crafted tales are made to order. This does mean that your delivery may take a little longer to arrive than other gifts you might buy your loved ones, but we're sure it'll be worth the wait! 

All delivery dates provided are estimates, and may vary. We aim to deliver all books within 10 days.

For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 14 days after the estimated delivery date. 

How will my book be delivered?

Each crafted tale is carefully created by our team before being sent to our specialist printing partners.

How much is postage?

Standard delivery £3.99

Estimated at 5-10 days from order date.

We will be offering an express delivery option soon for those that can’t wait!

How long is the delivery/how long will it take for my order to arrive?

It typically takes 5-10 working days for your order to be delivered.

Do you deliver to an address outside of the UK?

At the moment we only deliver to UK addresses. Sign up to our newsletter to make sure you are in the loop when we deliver internationally.

My item has arrived damaged.

We apologise for any items that arrive damaged. Any damaged/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 14 days after the product has been received.

All items are made-to-order by our printing partners, and whilst we strive to provide the highest possible quality it is possible for small variations in alignment and colour. We want you to have the best experience possible and will assess each situation on a case-by-case basis, so if there are any issues please get in touch before taking action.

Any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 14 days after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 14 days after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.
